General Training Task 1 letter লিখবেন কীভাবে

GT Task 1 চিঠি মানে শুধু “Dear Sir” লিখে শুরু করা না। এখানে situation বুঝে purpose, tone, এবং তিনটি bullet point পূরণ করতে হয়।

নীলা বন্ধুকে party invitation লিখছে, কিন্তু শুরু করেছে “Dear Sir or Madam”. এতে tone mismatch. আবার manager-কে complaint লিখে “Hi bro” লিখলে একই সমস্যা। GT letter-এ tone না মিললে score কমে।

GT Task 1 letter কী

আপনাকে একটি everyday situation দেওয়া হবে এবং কমপক্ষে ১৫০ শব্দে letter লিখতে হবে। প্রশ্নে তিনটি bullet point থাকবে। তিনটিই cover করতে হবে। প্রায় ২০ মিনিট রাখবেন, কারণ Task 2 বেশি weight বহন করে।

তিন ধরনের tone

Bullet point বাদ দেবেন না

প্রশ্নে যদি তিনটি instruction থাকে, তিনটিই আলাদা করে answer করুন। এক bullet খুব বড় আর আরেক bullet missing হলে Task Achievement কমে।

Common trap

Question: “explain what happened, say why you are unhappy, ask for action.” অনেক student শুধু complaint লিখে action ask করে না। শেষ bullet missing হলে score আটকে যায়।

প্রথমেই tone ঠিক করুন

GT Task 1-এ content-এর আগে tone ঠিক করা জরুরি। একই request তিনভাবে লেখা যায়, কিন্তু recipient অনুযায়ী tone বদলাবে।

Bullet point cover করার practical method

Question-এ সাধারণত তিনটি bullet থাকে। ভালো letter-এ প্রতিটি bullet আলাদা paragraph না হলেও, প্রতিটি bullet clearly answered হতে হবে।

Sample plan

Task: Write to a friend about a new job. Tell them what the job is, why you took it, and invite them to visit.

  1. Opening: friendly greeting.
  2. Paragraph 1: new job title and workplace.
  3. Paragraph 2: reason for taking the job.
  4. Paragraph 3: invitation and closing.

GT Task 1-এ কত word লিখব?

Minimum 150 words দরকার। Safe range সাধারণত 160–190 words, যদি সব bullet point cover হয়।

সব bullet কি আলাদা paragraph লাগবে?

সবসময় না। তবে প্রতিটি bullet clearly answer হতে হবে।

Tone ভুল হলে কি score কমে?

হ্যাঁ। Formal recipient-কে informal tone-এ লিখলে Task Achievement এবং language appropriacy দুর্বল দেখায়।

IELTS Writing General Training Task 1 letter-এ band বাড়ানোর practical rule

Writing-এ অনেক student grammar ঠিক করতে গিয়ে main task ভুলে যায়। Examiner প্রথমে দেখেন আপনি প্রশ্নের কাজ করেছেন কি না, idea logically সাজিয়েছেন কি না, এবং language naturally control করতে পেরেছেন কি না। তাই প্রতিটি answer লিখার আগে ৩ মিনিট plan করুন। এই ৩ মিনিটই অনেক সময় ৩০ মিনিটের ভুল বাঁচায়।

একটি ছোট গল্প

আরিফ complex sentence লিখতে পারত, কিন্তু Task 2-তে question-এর দুই অংশ cover করত না। আমরা তাকে fancy word কমিয়ে “question checklist” দিলাম। প্রথম line-এ position, body paragraph-এ clear reason, শেষে direct conclusion—এই simple discipline-ই তার writing stable করল।

লক্ষ্য হলো difficult English দেখানো নয়; লক্ষ্য হলো clear thinking দেখানো। IELTS Writing-এ controlled, relevant, organised answer সবসময় memorised template-এর চেয়ে ভালো।

শেষবার official information check করা হয়েছে: ২৭ জুন ২০২৬. Fee, centre availability, visa rule, university requirement এবং accepted-test list সময়ের সাথে বদলাতে পারে। Booking বা application করার আগে official page আবার মিলিয়ে নিন।
