IELTSNexa-তে Listening guide আগে থেকেই আছে। তাই এখানে আবার “Listening কীভাবে করব” শেখানো নয়। এই page-এর কাজ হলো ওই guides-গুলোর নিয়ম Cambridge 20 Listening Test 1-এ কীভাবে কাজ করেছে সেটা দেখানো।
ধরুন একজন student Part 1-এ ৮/১০ পেল। সে ভাবে, “আমি তো শুনতে পারি।” কিন্তু analysis করলে দেখা যায় Q5-এ proper noun spelling, Q7-এ described noun, Q9-এ wrong price, Q10-এ corrected adjective - এই চার জায়গায় trap ছিল। এই page সেই trap-গুলো চোখে আঙুল দিয়ে দেখাবে।

Part 1: restaurant table completion - easy মনে হলেও trap-heavy
এই অংশে answer গুলো বেশিরভাগ noun/adjective/number. সবচেয়ে বড় skill হলো blank কী চাইছে সেটা আগে বোঝা: food type, place, nationality, adjective, proper noun, building, source, price, size. Audio-তে অনেক nearby detail আছে, কিন্তু সব detail answer না।

সঠিক logic হলো condition match করা। এখানে lunch price আর evening price আলাদা, তাই শুধু number শুনলেই answer না।
Part 2: pottery workshop - MCQ-তে option word নয়, meaning ধরুন
Q11-Q20-এ সব answer সরাসরি fill-in-the-blank-এর মতো আসে না। এখানে option-এর wording আর audio-এর wording আলাদা। তাই আমাদের Multiple choice guide-এর মূল নিয়ম লাগবে: “option শুনলাম, তাই answer” নয়; speaker-এর meaning option-এর সাথে মেলে কিনা দেখুন।

Part 3: loneliness discussion - দুই speaker agree করছে কিনা ধরুন
Part 3-এ সবচেয়ে common ভুল হলো একজন speaker কিছু বললেই answer ধরে নেওয়া। কিন্তু অনেক প্রশ্নে দুইজনের agreement দরকার। তাই এখানে “yes”, “true”, “I agree”, “that makes sense” টাইপ agreement signal খুব গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

Part 4-এ pause কম, তাই Q31-Q40-এ script signal খুব দ্রুত আসে। এখানে answer বেশিরভাগ concrete noun: pollution source, biological label, animal, converted use, project category, transport method. Order ধরে চললে answer পাওয়া যায়। Order হারালে সব noun একই রকম লাগে।

Answer sheet থেকে spelling-prone words
এই words গুলো শুধু “answer” না; এগুলো শেখার word bank. Test review করার সময় এগুলো ৩ বার লিখুন, তারপর audio ছাড়া spelling recall করুন। IELTS Listening-এ meaning বুঝেও spelling ভুল হলে mark যায়।

এই test থেকে কোন guide পড়বেন
এই test review করার exact routine
- আগে score দেখুন, কিন্তু answer analysis পড়ার আগে নিজে ভুলগুলো mark করুন।
- Part 1 ভুল হলে দেখুন: word form, plural, spelling, না distractor?
- Part 2 ভুল হলে option-এর পাশে লিখুন: supported / contradicted / only mentioned.
- Part 3 ভুল হলে দেখুন দুই speaker agree করেছে কিনা। একজন বললেই answer নয়।
- Part 4 ভুল হলে answer-এর আগের signal লিখুন: in addition, declared, transformed into, final stage.
২৩-২৯ হলে completion accuracy বাড়ান। ৩০-৩৪ হলে MCQ/choose-two trap কমান। ৩৫+ হলে spelling এবং consistency protect করুন।

এই guide তখনই সবচেয়ে কাজে লাগবে যখন আপনি নিজের wrong answers-এর পাশে trap type লিখবেন। শুধু answer দেখে শেষ করবেন না; কেন ভুল হলো, কোন guide লাগবে, আর কোন word আবার practice করতে হবে - সেটা লিখুন।
